THE IDEA

The idea originated in 2020. It was inspired by an intimate desire of returning to their own motherland that thousands of young people share. After many years abroad, Daniele realised that his future was in a place where sun and mountains coexist and where elderly people read the newspaper in the square, as once used to be. When the world was hit by the pandemic, the perfect opportunity seemed to knock at Daniele’s door. Indeed, many changes occurred in the first two years of the pandemic, such as companies closing doors and staff being laid off. Among the contracts not being renewed, Daniele’s was one of them.

TIME

Unlike many, he did not throw himself down, but instead, he tried to seize an opportunity. He started looking around for jobs, applying for positions and attending interviews. He did get job offers, but he didn’t really seem to be excited. He thought that work should not be an obligation, nor a part of the day needed to meet ends. As Confucius said once, “Choose a job you love and you won’t have to work a day in your life,” Daniele knew that his time should not be wasted but used for something he cared about.

HIS PASSION

Hiking was something he had done since he was 10 years old.
Snowy Sundays in the mountains, outings with sandwiches and chestnuts, exploration are all things very familiar to Daniele. However, his love and connection with nature and the outdoors is something that has only recently developed.

HIS DREAM

The experience abroad gained by several touristic jobs, made him realize that giving also means taking. Putting hiking and experience together makes the profile of Professional Nature and interpretative guide: a dream destined to come true! Daniele decides to register for a course to become one. He finished his exams and qualified as a guide. His aim was only one: to learn and let the world know all the peculiarities and stories of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe.

THE BRAND

This is how the brand “Daniele Corso, Trekking | Excursions | Experiences” was born. The brand follows a very specific direction, since it is far from the purely tourist / scientific point of view but rotates around passion and emotion…

The vision of this brand is to meet people with whom to walk away from daily duties; to tell personal and local stories with passion and emotion; to create indelible memories in the minds and hearts of its guests.
